An icon of the Stetson brand since 1940, the Stratoliner fedora takes its inspirationand its namefrom an aircraft that helped kickstart the golden age of innovation. The same year, Boeing introduced the first-ever commercial airplane with a pressurized cabin. Called the Stratoliner, it was able to reach new altitudes, opening the skies to a whole new breed of traveler. This called for a new breed of hat: The Stetson Stratoliner, a sleek, lighter-weight take on the traditional fedora that featured a rakish, angled crown that suggested a manor a planeon the move.

Handcrafted from quality fur felt and richly dyed in versatile shades, the Stratoliner features a 4 1/2" teardrop crown and 2 1/2" bound edge brim. Its classic style is underscored by a subtle grosgrain hatband and special edition airplane hat pin. A genuine leather sweatband and full satin liner ensure a secure, comfortable, all-day fit.
