ECCO | MOVES LIKE YOU
A short lifestyle piece about ECCO and the people who live them.
Moves Like You
ECCO was founded in 1963 by Birte and Karl Toosbuy. Trained as a shoemaker, Karl Toosbuy had a dream to own a shoe factory and run his own business. Therefore, the family decided to give up the security of regular jobs, sell their home, and move to Bredebro, a small town in southwest Denmark – just north of the German border.
Over the coming years, the Toosbuy family would continue to perfect their craft, steadily innovating and improving the quality and style. By the 1980s, their exceptional outdoor shoes were used and loved by many, and ECCO had become a global success.
Today the company is still run by the Toosbuy family, and still builds that same exceptional craftsmanship into every pair of shoes they produce. ECCO is particularly renowned for their amazing golf shoes, hiking boots, running shoes, and sandals. Each shoe is designed with purpose and delivers exceptional comfort and durability.
It is no wonder why ECCO shoes are trusted and loved by so many hikers, golfers, runners, and adventures. Even pros at the top of their game turn to ECCO as their first choice.
At OutlandUSA.com, ECCO is one of our newest brands, but it has quickly become one of our favorites. If you're looking for an exceptional pair of golf shoes, hiking shoes, running shoes, or casual sandals, be sure to check out ECCO.

Only ECCO Shoes that are made with Gore-Tex lining are waterproof.
This is best done by using shoe trees when the shoe isn't being worn. The best types are shoe trees made out of unvarnished sandalwood, which also extracts moisture from the leather.
Give the shoes plenty of time to dry. Remove the insole and let the shoes dry naturally and never expose them to artificial heat which can damage and distort them.
For non-warranty exchanges and returns, please see our policy here.
If you believe you're ECCO shoe has a manufacturer defect, please reach out to us and we will help submit a claim.
